Fuelled by intelligence, leadership and community involvement I excelled in my studies, culminating in a scholarship from none other than Nelson Mandela for an MBA in the United Kingdom which I passed with distinction and received the Council Award for the Best MBA Student.

With my distinguished career spanning both the public and private sectors, i.e. government and corporate, including international relations, I’ve earned a reputation for my strategic acumen and transformative leadership. Pumela – Award Winning

My journey of awards began when Nelson Mandela personally handed me a scholarship, marking the start of a transformative mission to serve humanity. After completing my MBA with distinction in the UK, I earned the Council Award for Best MBA student. Subsequently, I became a Global Fellow in Social Innovation and participated in the African Programme on Rethinking Development Economics. Recognitions followed, including being featured in South Africa's Most Inspirational Women (2013) and DESTINY magazine's Top 40 young leaders. In 2018, I received the prestigious African Achiever Award, followed by the 2019 British Award for African Development. In 2021, I was honoured with the LightBearer Award, and in 2022, I received both the Euroknowledge Leadership Award and the Champion for Africa Award respectively The streak continued in 2023 with an award for my contributions to business and politics in Africa, presented at the African Union's 60th Anniversary celebration.
